The Hickory Goat-Karts identity is inspired by one of Hickory’s first major industries, wagon making, as well as its deep history in racing. The colors come from Piedmont Wagon Company’s famous green horse drawn wagons with red wheels and yellow trim. The company also had a model for kids that was pulled by goats, known as goat carts.
